Master’s degree and/or Ph.D. in psychology, social work or related field

Knowledge of psychological practices in a variety of clinical, teaching, and research environments, as well as a demonstrated ability in teaching students at all levels in an academic environment.
Previous experience providing psychological services through evidence-based psychotherapy, psychological testing and related services. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated experience collaborating with physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with mental health conditions. Experience in supervising other clinicians and serving in a leadership capacity is essential for this position.

Current licensure (LCSW, Ph.D., LPP, LPCC, or the equivalent), or eligibility to obtain licensure and/or industry-standard board certification in the field of psychotherapy, psychological testing or related services to practice in the state of Kentucky.

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking an open-rank position to serve as a clinician and researcher. The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in clinical care providing psychotherapy and/or psychological testing services to adults or children and adolescents. Additionally the candidate must have an emerging or sustained track record of success in research including a history of submitting and/or receiving intramural or extramural funding as well as publishing articles in peer reviewed journals.

Demonstrated ability to relate and communicate with internal and external faculty, staff, and other clients of the department. Demonstrated experience with research and providing psychotherapy or psychological testing services to adults, children and adolescents in an outpatient setting using evidence-based treatments.

Master’s degree required and terminal degree preferred such as Ph.D. is Psychology, Social Work or related discipline.
