Position:
The College of Education invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, 9-month Lecturer position in the Department of Early Childhood Education beginning January, 2024.

Qualifications:
Graduate degree in early childhood education or related field. Experience working in birth to Age 8 settings and/or Pre-K through 5th grade (public or non-public schools) required. The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching and a commitment to working with public schools. Candidates with background in curriculum and instruction and literacy are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
Faculty will be assigned the standard instructional workload of eight course units per academic year (4 course units/semester) and will supervise internship placements in various instructional settings. Faculty will be expected to serve on departmental and college committees.

The Department of Early Childhood Education is distinguished nationally and regionally by its breadth, expertise and innovative practices. Towson University’s College of Education has been a leader in teacher preparation for over 150 years and its programs are recognized for their high quality and innovation. The programs in the Department of Early Childhood Education have been Nationally Recognized by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). ECED offers an undergraduate program, a Master’s of Education in Early Childhood Education, and a Master’s of Education in Gifted and Creative Education (Pre-K-12).
