Job Summary | The Hive student communications/social media coordinator will primarily manage the College’s social media platforms, but will also have the opportunity to work on marketing and communications projects including: • Interviewing faculty, students and alumni • Writing features for print, web and social media use (including stories for the College’s alumni magazine, Ampersand) • Writing marketing text for brochures, flyers, and other various marketing pieces • Writing press releases • Working closely with the College’s graphic designer and director of digital media on branding/look and feel of the College’s marketing pieces • Plan, organize and write social media posts, as well as creating social media strategic plans for content and continuing statistical analysis of social media accounts. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Strong communication and writing skills, experience interviewing and writing compelling stories, experience utilizing social media for publicity/business (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite, Social Studio, etc.), basic Microsoft suite, knowledge using CS5 a plus, knowledge of AP style a plus. |
