Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and work experience. 8 years of Human Resource or related experience with minimum 3 years Compensation experience. Compensation Certification preferred.
  • Workday Experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office skills with focus in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to be analytical and handle data effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
  • Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients
  • Possess a can-do attitude and be a self-starter
  • Possess good judgment in safeguarding sensitive material and make sound decisions

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Compensation Analyst with strong partnering and strategic thinking skills. The Compensation Analyst position will be the primary compensation partner to several business groups within Peraton. This position will provide strategic advice to the business related to Compensation while understanding industry and business trends as it relates to Compensation. The Compensation Analyst role will be responsible for job evaluations, administering salary structure/pay grade levels and responding to compensation related inquiries as well as reviewing hires, off-cycle, and other salary actions for internal and market equity.

The Compensation Analyst position responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Research, Analysis and Reports
  • Develop statistical reports on internal pay practices and trends
  • Assist in participating and completing compensation market survey to leverage competitive data and determine market trends

Policy and Procedure Development
  • Consults and advises HR regarding compensation policy interpretation (i.e., new hire offers, promotions, market analysis, job evaluation)
  • Assist in developing and establishing policies and procedures, creating, and maintaining internal controls to ensure compliance

Program Management and Administration
  • Provides advice and analysis through the annual merit and incentive process
  • Audits jobs for content to ensure positions are compliant with FLSA requirements and internal Job Architecture Provides counsel to management and HRBPs regarding compensation issues including salary actions, internal equity issues, job classifications, and FLSA/SCA issues.
  • Process Awards and Bonuses
  • Represent Compensation on projects and develop an understanding of business unit operations
  • Keep self and others informed of professional Compensation trends and developments by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies.
  • Prepares compensation-related training material and assist in delivering compensation-related training programs and materials
  • Responds to audit requests from DOL, DCAA and internal auditors.
  • Supports proposal efforts by providing labor category mappings and market data
  • Maintains current knowledge of labor laws and related regulations and trends affecting the compensation function
