Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience
  • 15 years of IT experience
  • Ability to effectively manage a geographically dispersed multifaceted team.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain excellent working relationship with government customers.
  • Experienced in Certification and Accreditation: DIACAP, RMF or NIST
  • Familiar with VA cyber policies
  • Familiar with Networking, Systems, Storage, application development and virtualization
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must have excellent writing skills.
  • Familiarity with client specific solution components, such as Defense Medical Logistics Standard Solution (DMLSS), Military Health Services (MHS) GENESIS, LogiCole, Cerner Millennium and/or InterSystems (HealthConnect/IRIS/HealthShare), would be helpful

Education/Certifications/Clearance:
  • PhD Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline (or Bachelors Degree w/12 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional),
  • CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
  • GSLC: Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Security Leadership Certification
  • Must be able to achieve a moderate (Tier 2) VA position of trust.

Responsibilities

This role will serve as part of the team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with the implementation, integration and sustainment of a fully integrated supply chain solution that provides the full spectrum of medical logistics. The Supply Chain delivers clinical care to Veterans by managing the logistics and flow of supplies and equipment. Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures that the right equipment and supplies are available when needed, and the Supply Chain Management Product Line (SCM PL) encompasses the activities to procure resources, manage supplies, and deliver goods and services to providers and patients.

This team will be focused on implementing a scalable to support accelerated site deployment, while at the same time supporting integration with additional VA systems and sustainment of current integrations.

The teamwill have a blend of specific expertise and experience in SAFe Agile, Product Management, Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps), engineering, and Data Migration.

The Cyber Security Risk Lead will supervise, coordinate and/or perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems, and attached devices; including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software. Provide direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems including the evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems. Troubleshoot at the physical level of the network, working with network measurement hardware and software, as well as physical checking and testing of hardware devices at the logical level working with communication protocols. Participate in planning design, technical review and implementation for new network infrastructure hardware and network operating systems for voice and data communication networks. Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP/IP.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the overall security posture of the network.
  • Analyze and advise on the risk and remediation of security issues based on reports from vulnerability assessment scanners, patch management tools, and emerging threat information.
  • Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Evaluate divisions Cyber Security program and posture, provide recommendations to government client and senior leadership on changes and improvements to improve the overall health and security posture of the organization.
  • Responsible for coordination with multiple groups, both contractor and government staff, to conduct security assessments of various networks and components, and ensuring that all systems, applications, and networks meet compliance in order to remain operational.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Cyber Security and Certification and Accreditation, advising the government CIO and Deputy CIO on the Risk Management Framework process, and create policy and procedure to improve efficiency and improve the overall security posture of the division.
  • Responsible for direct oversight of a group of contractor personnel who have technical expertise in the design, configuration and operation of web servers, databases, and application development, and who also have expertise in technical writing, maintenance and testing of the systems and applications.
  • Collect metrics, prepare weekly/monthly status reports for senior level management and the government client, reporting on system and network compliance, FISMA Compliance score, status of ongoing projects and efforts, and recommend ways ahead for problems and issues.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $99,132.80 Colorado Salary Maximum:$211,910.40 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
