Qualifications
  • 15 years of IT experience
  • 5 years of Agile / Scrum usage experience
  • 2 years of DevSecOps architect/coach experience
  • Experience and a deep understanding of working within a DevOps environment
  • Proven technical background/understanding of DevOps, Software Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering
  • Experience coaching and upskilling teams on DevSecOps practices and adoption
  • Strong experience with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Testing/ Continuous Delivery processes and tools
  • Experience on integrating security and performance testing into DevOps pipeline
  • Prior experience in programming and/or development to utilize within coaching methodologies
  • Conceptual knowledge or management experience with as a Service areas, such as IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS, would be helpful
  • Familiarity with Cloud, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) would be helpful
  • Familiarity with client specific solution components, such as Defense Medical Logistics Standard Solution (DMLSS), Military Health Services (MHS) GENESIS, LogiCole, Cerner Millennium and/or InterSystems (HealthConnect/IRIS/HealthShare), would be helpful
  • Strong verbal communication skills.

Education/Certifications/Clearance:
  • Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific/technical discipline (or Bachelors Degree w/10 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • Must be a certified SAFe DevOps Practitioner (SDP)
  • Must be able to achieve a moderate (Tier 2) VA position of trust.


Responsibilities

This role will serve as part of the team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with the implementation, integration and sustainment of a fully integrated supply chain solution that provides the full spectrum of medical logistics. The Supply Chain delivers clinical care to Veterans by managing the logistics and flow of supplies and equipment. Supply Chain Management (SCM) ensures that the right equipment and supplies are available when needed, and the Supply Chain Management Product Line (SCM PL) encompasses the activities to procure resources, manage supplies, and deliver goods and services to providers and patients.

This team will be focused on implementing a scalable to support accelerated site deployment, while at the same time supporting integration with additional VA systems and sustainment of current integrations.

The team will have a blend of specific expertise and experience in SAFe Agile, Product Management, Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps), engineering, and Data Migration.

The DevSecOps Coach must have experience with diverse IT projects both large and small. Must be able to manage a portfolio of projects. Must be well versed in full systems development life cycle, enterprise wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, structure and management practices. Must be able to identify and mitigate risks to the program. Must be able to manage to cost, schedule and performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct current statement assessment of DevSecOps practices
  • Layout DevSecOps transformation roadmap and blueprint.
  • Define, measure and present Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and metrics for continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with business/ Enterprise Infrastructure teams on driving automation in setup, configuration & operations of environments across the stack from hardware, OS, virtualization, application servers, web servers, storage, DB etc.
  • Lead the technical decision making on configuration management, version control, build / deployment management, service management
  • Collaborate with test automation team to enable better integration into the continuous integration, continuous delivery and/or deployment (CICD) process.

Colorado Salary Minimum: $97,780.80 Colorado Salary Maximum:$209,040.00 The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees.
