    • Assists in the planning, implementing and leading the department of Diagnostic Radiology, to ensure quality patient care and optimal staff developments.
    • Creates and maintains work schedules for Diagnostic Radiology and assigned support staff.

    • Coordinates the training and orientation of new Diagnostic Radiology and assigned support staff.

    • Supports staff development, training, and educational opportunities for assigned staff.

    • Maintains safety and competency records for Diagnostic Radiology staff and is willing to provide additional training if warranted.

    • Works as a Diagnostic Radiology Technologist in patient care as needed to assure adequate tech coverage for assigned areas.
    • Works with our Radiology coordinators, schedulers, and support staff to assure quality care and customer service to our outpatients, inpatients, callers, visitors, physicians, and other departments.

    • Maintains Radiology Department records, interviews incoming outpatients or representatives, records data on radiology EHR, and enters required information in hospital system. Answers telephone. Schedules appointments for Radiology as needed. Receives calls.

    • Assists with and participates in the Radiology Department and hospital wide quality efforts.

    • Willingly accepts and supports the hospital’s policies and procedures.

    • Is held accountable for following the policies and procedures of the department and Trinity Health.

    • Additionally, the position serves as a role model for ethical behavior and promotes an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the Mission, Vision and Behavior Standards of Trinity Health.

    • Licenses and Certifications Required
      • ARRT certification and current registration. Registered as a Radiologic Technologist / Radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
      • NDMIRTBE licensed
      • BLS/CPR certification
    • Educational Requirements
      • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program, as evidenced by above license and registered or registry eligible in Radiography with the ARRT
    • Experience Requirements
      • Supervisory experience in Radiology preferred
    • Special Skills or Training Requirements
      • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
      • Understanding of all imaging modalities
      • Understanding of operational budgeting / staffing
      • Ability to read and interpret documents
      • Able to use calculator, keyboard, word processing and basic computer skills, i.e. Excel spreadsheet
      • Able to fax, copy, use Kronos timekeeping system
      • Able to place orders within current radiology information system
      • Ability to speak in public forums as requested by Director
      • Diagnostic Radiology equipment
      • Hospital and Radiology information systems (computer skills)
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities
