Job Summary
The Human Development Institute is Kentucky’s University Center for Excellence in Disabilities. This position will advance the mission and strategic plan of the HDI through research, education and outreach. This position will contribute to a workplace in which individual differences are recognized, appreciated, respected and responded to in ways that fully develop and utilize each person’s talents and strengths. 

HDI is currently seeking an Evaluation Analyst Senior to work as a quantitative researcher who will be working on a large scale employment research project. This position can be remote, hybrid, or on campus at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. 

The Quantitative Researcher will be an integral part of the continuous quality improvement efforts by Organizing and splicing data collected through the research database; Developing and using tools to promote continuous quality improvement; Analytic approaches and methods, including using appropriate statistical techniques (multiple linear regression, HLM etc.) in the interpretation and presentation of complex quantitative data; Developing weekly reports on key indicator metrics for each stakeholder group using descriptive / frequencies; Maintaining and updating data dashboards; Working closely with the principal investigator and project leads; and Assisting in the Writing of reports, briefs, proposals, and other documents that are clear, concise, thoughtful, audience-friendly and contribute substantively to the field.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Ability to apply advanced statistical methods, and able to communicate effectively about these methods to both technical and non-technical audiences • Proficiency in statistical software, and openness to learning new statistical tools as required for different projects • Knowledge and/or experience with the analysis of large-scale data sets and experimental and quasi-experimental designs • Prior quantitative research on policy- and practice-relevant topics in one or more of the workforce topic areas noted using advanced methods such as fixed effects, regression discontinuity, or instrumental variables.

Preferred Education/Experience
Ph.D. in Education, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Public Policy or other related field, or Master’s degree plus four or more years of relevant work experience preferred.
