Has thorough knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures of interface engines and HL7 interface protocols. Designs, modifies, develops, writes and implements interfaces between information systems. Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of data transfer. Works under general supervision.

Licenses and Certifications Required
Prefer certification in an industry established Interface Engine
Educational Requirements
Associate degree in Computer Science, experience may be substituted for degree
Experience Requirements
Prefer previous experience supporting or developing HL7 interfaces in a health care setting
Special Skills or Training Requirements
Must have excellent analytical skills and be able to communicate well with all levels with in the organization
