Required Education | High School Diploma or GED required College course work preferred. |
Required Related Experience | Applicants preferred to be 19 years of age or older by August 1, 2023 for employment. Experience in the position for which the applicant is applying for is preferred. |
Required License/Registration/Certification | Applicants must possess an EMT certification (or higher) from a nationally recognized organization valid through the entirety of summer. |
Physical Requirements | Applicant must be available to work long hours in a noisy environment, work in outside/hot conditions, and be on feet for long periods of time while adhering to current COVID-19 guidelines. |
Shift | Days, nights, and some weekends. Staff are expected to live on the camp property and follow COVID-19 safety recommendations while on and off duty. Internship positions are mid-May 2023 through early August 2023. |
Job Summary | Kentucky 4-H Camping is seeking camp healthcare providers who can provide exceptional customer service, high-quality interactions when performing first aid, react to emergency situations, and dispense prescribed and OTC medication for the 13,000+ campers and volunteers attending four residential 4-H camp facilities for summer 2023: (Lake Cumberland 4-H Camp, Nancy, KY; Feltner 4-H Camp, London, KY; North Central 4-H Camp, Carlisle, KY; West Kentucky 4-H Camp, Dawson Springs, KY).
