As part of the procurement function, the OR Materials Coordinator will assist the supply chain department in managing cost, standardization, and evaluation of all routine supply acquisitions. They will oversee vendors in the OR and function as liaison between Materials and Surgeons. This position reports to the head supplies contract portfolio manager.

Educational Requirements
Undergraduate degree in supply chain management, business administration or a related field highly preferred
Experience Requirements
Preference given to applicants with three (3) years experience with operating room, surgical equipment and contract negotiation
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external customers ensuring issues are identified, evaluated and resolved
Familiarity with methods of purchasing, supplier partnership, inventory control, shipping, receiving and accounts payable as well as contract terms and conditions, procurement, regulations, policies and procedures
Ability to navigate and manage multiple information systems including core materials management information systems, electronic data exchange systems and other databases
Strong negotiating skills accompanied with the ability to strategically reduce costs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Explorer)
Special Skills or Training Requirements
Travel between surgery centers and operating rooms may be required
