Job Summary
The Biomotion laboratory in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated post-doctoral scholar with expertise in lower extremity biomechanics. The post-doctoral scholar will work on projects funded by the Department of Defense and National Institute of Health studying the effects of various rehabilitation programs on common sports and orthopedic injuries. The person in this position will participate in laboratory data capture and analyses for ongoing research projects with opportunities to develop their own questions and projects. Applicants with experience providing research mentorship to graduate and undergraduate researchers will be given preference.

The applicant must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in biomechanics or a related field, with significant laboratory experience, and evidence of scholarly productivity. Applicants who are ABD with the intention of graduating in the Spring\Summer 2023 semester are also encouraged to apply. Eligible applicants should be highly motivated and be able to work in a collaborative environment. The applicant will be expected to be involved in several research projects and contribute to the writing of grant applications and publications.

A post-doctoral scholar position at the University of Kentucky is a temporary position with competitive salary support and benefits intended to provide training and education in research to advance the individuals to an independent career.
