Job Summary | The postdoctoral researcher will assist the PI and Co-PIs in tasks associated with the development of advanced material and manufacturing process models, including comprehensive process-property-performance characterization and implementation of novel in-situ process monitoring tools. A particular emphasis will be placed on research involving large-scale additive manufacturing technologies relevant to U.S. Department of Defense applications, such as Additive Friction Stir Deposition (AFSD), Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM), Laser Metal Deposition (LMD), and Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), along with hybrid (additive + subtractive) operations. Additional tasks include training graduate students, collaborating with research partners, and documenting results in the form of research publications, including journal publications, and presentations at conferences and progress meetings. Funding will be renewed yearly, contingent upon performance for up to 3 years. U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders are strongly encouraged to apply. |
