Job Summary | The University of Kentucky, College of Health Sciences, Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition is seeking a full-time post doctoral scholar to begin employment on July 1, 2023. The College of Health Sciences, Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition is seeking a motivated individual who can contribute to an ongoing research agenda and associated funded clinical trials investigating the consequences of musculoskeletal injuries. This effort includes a strong research agenda that incorporates a multidisciplinary approach dedicated to injury prevention, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and the connections between sensorimotor and neurocognitive deficiencies. The primary obligations of this position are to Department of Defense funded clinical research including study coordination, data collection, and technical oversight of daily operations in the Sports Medicine Research Institute. The person in this position must have a Ph.D. in sports medicine, rehabilitation, neuroscience or a closely related field. Additionally, this person should have experience with human subjects research and expertise in data capture associated with biomechanics, sensorimotor, neurocognitive, or MRI techniques that can be applied to ankle-related musculoskeletal disorders. This person will be expected to assist in fulfilling the research objectives of the Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition, to collaborate with other departmental and college faculty, and to provide mentorship to other research personnel including students, graduate student researchers, postdocs, and staff of the Sports Medicine Research Institute.
