  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • The Professional Registered Nurse is under the supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge, the PACU coordinator and the Vice President of Surgical Services in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, supervising and documenting the care of patients including those in the following age groups: neonatal, infancy, childhood, adolescent, adult and geriatric. This care will be delivered in accordance with established standards of performance. Participation in quality management, inservice, safety and cost management is ongoing. The nurse is responsible for peri-operative care consistent with peri-operative nursing standards.

    • New graduates will be enrolled in Trinity's Nurse Residency program and expected to graduate from the program.

      Will be cross trained in Post Anesthesia Care and Same Day Surgery areas.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
    • Licenses and Certifications Required
      • Current or temporary RN license in ND or compact RN licensure
      • BLS required within orientation period
      • ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment in PACU
      • TNCC course will be attended at least once within one year of employment in PACU or scheduled to attend
    • Educational Requirements
      • RN program as evidenced by licensure
      • Official diploma or transcript from the school/university from where Degree was received
    • Experience Requirements
      • Previous critical care experience is preferred
    • Special Skills or Training Requirements
      • None
