HSBC Team is currently seeking an experienced professional to join Payment Processing team, responsible for supporting High Value(HV) - Cross Border and Domestic, Low Value(LV) and Instant Payments (Real Time Payment) Platforms.

Global Platform System (GPS) is strategic payment processing engine of the bank, a Tier0 system, catering to 11 countries across 5 regions, processing over 150M payments amounting to over USD 335T (NA: c 40 M transaction amounting to USD 118 T p.a). The core processing engine is vendor(Finastra) product customized for HSBC with interfaces to internal systems developed in-house.

Real Time Payments (RTP) is a domestic payments scheme offered by Clearing House, under $1million transaction limit within 15 seconds from payment initiation to settlement by the payer. RTP is for credit transfers and uses ISO 20022 message formats to allow exchange of payment remittance information and payment acknowledgement and international compatibility.

The Core understanding of the version of Global Payments System requires an extensive Payment experience which is niche skill. The role of Senior Business Consultant/Technical Lead within this area will be responsible for Payment processing applications focusing on the Strategic Business value delivery and continuous improvement of the technology estate and will required global collaboration across multiple Geographic Locations such as - India, US, UK, MX and PL

Principal responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of payment quarterly releases, global and regional initiatives providing insights on design, build and delivery of new functionalities as well as improvement of existing services and platforms.
• Responsible for the Architecture refinement, Automation, Data & Digital adoption of ISO integration which strives to deliver API interface to all payment applications, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for migrating payments data on cloud and applying analytics for business decisions, in line with the technology roadmap.
• The role will focus on leading both strategic and all technical deliveries for Required / Regulatory, Product Enhancements, Operational Efficiency and Service Sustainability are completed on time to a high standard.
• This role will provide key technology leadership to the team’s members through coaching/mentoring and ensure deliveries align to the broader technology roadmap within global and regional payments IT road maps
• Build excellent relationships with Product, Platform Delivery and Operations teams to help build a “one team” approach to planning and delivery.
• Promote innovation and adoption of groundbreaking specialist technologies and best practices with the platform domain.
• Promotes agile transformation and deployment methodologies, and helps with adoption of moving towards the Program Increment(PI) Platform/Product Delivery
