This position will provide operational support of facilities, activities, and resources for SIM-ND training events and other activities utilizing the trucks. This includes providing technical and hands-on support for simulation truck preparation and delivery.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Licenses and Certifications Required
EMT by licensure/certification. State or National instructor certification in one or more of the following courses: BLS, PHTLS, PEPP, or willing to obtain certification within 90 days of hire (or as possible).
Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B CDL) with air brakes.
Educational Requirements
Education level commensurate with designated license.
Preferred education: Associates degree in any of the following preferred areas: healthcare, allied health, information technology, education/training, or related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
Preferred experience: Support role in simulation lab or comparable training facility; Experience in supporting instructional activities, preferable in health science education or higher education setting; Background in previous simulation or training environment; 2+ years’ experience driving a commercial vehicle (Class A or B) with air brakes or similar such as driving a fire truck, military vehicle, or farm vehicle.

Maintain proficient level of knowledge in medical simulation technology.
Experience with performing minor vehicle maintenance, manikin/simulator and IT/AV trouble shooting preferred.
All new staff must be approved by the UND SIM ND Program Director.
