Ability to work in a sedentary position utilizing computer, mouse, keyboard, and phone for portions of the day.

Shifts will be scheduled based on department needs in coverage. ITS Customer Services is a 24×7/365 call center serving UKHC and UK’s main campus. Shifts must be a minimum of 4 hours long each and can be scheduled around classes.

UK ITS Customer Services assists Students, Faculty, and Staff by providing technical
services over the phone, email, and chat. This position will be responsible for acting as after-hours UKHC Switchboard operator, UK Campus Switchboard, transferring calls and paging, supporting ITS customers and resolving technical computing issues.

Occasionally may also be asked to assist staff with workshops, resource fairs, and other outreach or public events.

Candidates must be currently enrolled at UK at least half time for the fall semester and remain enrolled for the duration of their employment with ITS.

Previous Call Center experience preferred but not required.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Call center experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to provide technical support over telephone, chat, and email
• Understanding of all UK ITS supported software (Duo, Adobe, O365, Canvas, Zoom)
• Understanding of active directory, networking, and basic troubleshooting
• Competency with both Macintosh and Windows operating systems
