The Intelligence group provides high-end systems engineering and integration products and services, data analytics and software development to national and military intelligence customers. Perspecta is the prime System Engineering and Integration contractor for a National Communications Program and provides full lifecycle, end-to-end Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) services to a National Customer. The National Communications Programs mission focus is to provide worldwide space and ground communications services utilizing state-of-the-art communications technologies. Perspecta leads a geographically dispersed team to support the design, development, acquisition and evolution of this complex multi-segmented communications system.

The INTREPID program provides transport system engineering expertise to the customer to develop new capabilities that meet user needs. The external facing activities are in a Services paradigm, while internally they are determining the acquisitions required to ensure the services are available as promised to the user community.

That's why we need you, an experienced Systems Engineer Manager, to help us lead and guide the system engineering practices. This is an opportunity to build your experience with using the latest open source tools, trends, and techniques on technical issues supporting the mission of our Intelligence Community Customer.

Our System Engineering team is responsible for coordinating and supporting ground requirements, CONOPS, and architectures in the remote sensing domain; supporting enterprise and system level requirements for future systems; overseeing the allocation and closure of acquisition-level requirements with developers; independent verification, validation and test in support of delivered system capabilities and mission closure, participation in readiness events in support of enterprise, system and acquisition-level ground milestones; leading and supporting project planning; assessing schedule and risk; generating and presenting engineering briefings; and interfacing with numerous customers.

This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on core systems engineering processes in support of end-to-end mission and services closure. The candidate will lead the capability and solution definition for future systems through various system readiness events and independent review teams and is required to have strong systems engineering background and significant space and ground domain knowledge in customer mission technical capabilities and performance.

The candidate will support ground and enterprise teams coordinating, establishing and assessing mission capabilities, co-ops and architecture products, assessing system and segment schedule and risks, supporting test and verification strategy and system integration of new systems and initiatives in support of expanded ground capabilities.

The selected candidate will have the aptitude to assess processes and create efficiencies continuously, and may lead project teams, have frequent client interactions, and support system and mission strategy development across the various ground offices. The candidate will have daily interaction with the customer and supporting contractors, and will need to follow customer standards and processes as the program matures through the life cycle.

Required Skills:

• Requires BA/BS with 12+ years of experience with at least 4 years of management level responsibility.
• BS in engineering, physics or related STEM/technical degree.
• Current and Active TS/SCI with Poly Security Clearance.
• Demonstrated Leadership/managementexperience with the following technical areas.
• Working level knowledge of tactical data space to ground communications systems and architectures.
• Full spectrum systems engineer (Requirements Definition through Decommissioning).
• Demonstrated experience with space/ground communication systems.
• Ability to effectively communicate with both personnel and customers to fully understand. the needs of the program and the planned activities and desired outcomes.
• Program/project management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing personnel, staffing and team building.
• Able to prioritizing work, manage teams to meet program deliverables.
• Juggle multiple requests simultaneously and pro-actively to meet different program office needs.
• Excellent presentation/briefing skills.
• Experience identifying user needs and gaps, identifying potential solutions, and assessing/analyzing alternatives.
• Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPs development, and system integration/Test to accommodate End to End Systems Engineering.
• Commitment to recognize, understand, respect and operate effectively within various SETA, FFRDC, and Government lines of authority.
