Qualifications
Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA/MBA or 8 to 10 years with no degree.
8570 requirements CompTIA Security+
Computing Environment (CE) Certification (i.e., MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.) can be waived for 30 days after project join
Active Secret Security Clearance or higher
Responsibilities
Provides technical oversight of hardware and software systems, with a focus on Storage Area Network administration. Provide professional service within the parameters specified in the site's service level agreement and/or that meet or exceed the customer requirements. Ensure system security in compliance with customer policy including patching and auditing. Implement and maintain network standards and guidelines. Monitor system utilization including data storage management, performance metrics and service levels. Ensure reliable backup and recovery of necessary data. Develop and maintain an automated environment including reporting, event notifications and actions, software updates and service packs. Report on capacity and do proactive planning for additional storage. Allocates storage to servers, configuring fiber channel switches, and capacity planning for the SAN, in addition to OS level support related to implementing and maintaining system security and data recovery processes, providing technical support, utilizing automation tools for delivering applications, managing assets, monitoring performance, event notifications and automating desktop support. Coordinate and communicate activities, status updates, outage notifications and schedule information. Perform account maintenance. Ensure reliable backup and recovery of necessary data. Software installations/upgrades. Patching and IAVA compliance. Troubleshoots network communications. Maintain and document SAN cabling plans. Install, configure, administer and optimize servers (hardware and operating systems). Interface with users is an integral part of this role. Maintain network system documentation.
