Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD.
  • 3+ years experience establishing, coordinating and managing training events.
  • Experience with communicating complex concepts, tailoring information and explanations to a variety of audiences.
  • Experience in developing training schedules as well as deconflicting schedules as necessary.
  • Ability to comprehend client training requirements andidentify courses to meet their needs.
  • Experience in strategic outreach and interfacing with external training resources.
  • Experience in development of Training programs.
  • Effective communications skills and ability to interface with client staff and management.
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS excel.

Desired Qualifications:
  • PMP certification
  • Masters degree or higher in Management, Training, Education other related discipline.


Responsibilities

Work Description:

This is a position for a Training Coordinator (TC) to execute and manage developmental activities for staff across multiple training enterprises, both internal and external to the organization. The TC will be responsible for serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for staff development programs, interfacing with the sponsor and Corporate Learning Elements for student enrollment, tracking staff qualifications, interfacing with commercial, and Sponsor community training providers, registrar duties, and student administrative coordination. The TC will work with other staff to identify courses that meet mission requirements and facilitate enrollment. The TC will be responsible for scheduling and de-conflicting training evolutions with other entities and developing long term training schedules for internal and commercial vendor training. The TC will serve as the focal point regarding training support for staff. The TC will attend Corporate Learning Council meetings with staff and be able to represent equities of the organization as required. Additionally, the TC will be responsible for updating and populating online resources and manage the procurement and issuing of equipment to staff during training phases as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for strategic planning and management of learning programs.
  • Manage and track student enrollment.
  • Establish training schedules in coordination with management.
  • Consult with SMEs, to ensure the application of current Instructional Systems Design (ISD) principles, and update learning materials.
  • Create strategies to address learning and performance needs and challenges; providing recommendations that address learning program and performance priorities, as well as effective courses of action.
  • Provide leadership for learning, and professional development practices within the organization or the larger establishment.
  • Provide resource planning, program, and contract management for planning, organizing, and prioritizing project activities to ensure training meets all requirements on schedule.
  • Communicate (verbally and in writing) complex concepts, tailoring information and explanations to a variety of audiences.
