Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience running/leading risk mitigation programs and expert knowledge specifically in insider risk, counterintelligence, security, espionage, investigations, intellectual property, or law enforcement.
  • Demonstrated success with insider risk program development and execution, from the strategic (policy) to the tactical (tool implementation/operation).
  • Experience with user/entity behavior analytics, data loss prevention, and endpoint monitoring solutions.
  • Experience with maintaining liaison with local, state, and federal law enforcement departments and agencies, as appropriate.
  • Experience with maintaining liaison with appropriate US government intelligence agencies.
  • Top Secret clearance required
  • Bachelors degree. Masters preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Excellent executive level oral and written communications skills are essential
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong teams; recruit top talent and develop colleagues of all levels.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and to deliver effective presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact comfortably with all levels of management and actively participate on senior leadership teams.
  • Experience in identifying and applying innovative ideas to business problems and shepherding them through the development stage to implementation and successful adoption.

Responsibilities

Serve as the VP for Insider Risk Management (IR), Counterintelligence (CI), and Security Awareness Training and Education (SATE) within Peratons Security Office. Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, this VP will build and lead a high performing team of professionals who will have responsibility to deter, detect, and proactively identify, investigate, and counter threats to the security of Peraton, its resources/intellectual property, personnel, and reputation from insider threats, espionage, sabotage, subversion, criminal activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and evolve Peratons existing IR, CI, and SATE personnel and programs to support our growing global business/profile/workforce to safeguard the company as well as our clients most sensitive work.
  • Lead strategic planning activities involving enterprise risk management to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect the firm against insider and foreign adversary threats.
  • Oversee the monitoring of user activity and establish, maintain, and enforce mitigation strategies to protect the firm from insider and foreign adversary threats.
  • Lead the coordination and synchronization of all activities of the Insider Risk Management and CI programs, working closely with internal and Client-facing teams to achieve program objectives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for incident management and response for all incidents involving insider actions which pose a risk to the company and its clients.
  • Create education and awareness programs and advise operating units at all levels on security issues, best practices, and vulnerabilities.
  • Integrate this teams activities with the other security teams/functions, especially the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
  • Develop and foster close and supportive partnerships across the company (e.g. Legal, HR, Ethics) as well as with clients, industry and government partners.
  • Surface and influence the adoption of new technologies that improve engagement, productivity, decision making, quality, security, and overall simplification of the environment.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and champion opportunities to converge existing solutions to a standard for the benefit of all businesses.
  • Embody and model agile leadership providing a clear articulation of objectives, direction, and expectations.
